We’re still talking about thousands of gallons for a single hypersonic flight. If hypersonic travel becomes frequent, it will demand a substantial supply of sustainable fuels, presenting a challenge in production. We’re considering how to incorporate sustainable fuels into our designs. Although such fuels don’t currently burn as efficiently, design modifications—such as longer wings or larger fuel capacity—can help compensate. We aim to adapt our designs to be compatible with emerging fuel technologies.

In essence, we harvest these materials, convert them into jet fuel, and repeat the cycle without the need to extract more hydrocarbons from the ground. Other sources, like waste from industrial processes or even municipal solid waste, can also contribute to SAF production. This recycling of hydrocarbons reduces reliance on petroleum and helps foster a circular economy.

We need preemptive regulations, especially around space traffic management and ownership of celestial bodies. There’s already talk about companies wanting to claim parts of the Moon, and we need fair governance to prevent monopolies and ensure shared access. We've refused customers when there was a risk that our satellite data might be used to target civilians. We have a process that involves checking against international sanction lists and an ethics committee to review each case.
